Kate and Seth's Intimate Wedding in the Woods

After meeting through mutual friends years ago and a long-distance NC to CA relationship, Kate and Seth were married in an intimate and romantic celebration in May! I seriously cannot say enough about these two - kind, loving, loyal, passionate, and so completely head over heels for each other!!! We were able to bring their vision they had for their big day to life, resulting in the most beautiful outdoor wedding I've ever been a part of!!

The combination of Kate's California style with Seth's North Carolina vibe seemed effortless, with whimsical florals, rustic touches, and all the intimate special details!! Kate was simply stunning in her boho gown, accented by her girls in mismatched neutrals. The florals were loose and bohemian, with touches of wildflowers. Seth and his guys wore dapper blues, with leather suspenders.

These two did not see each other before the ceremony, but opted to touch hands and share a quiet moment together. The rain cleared just in time for the ceremony in the woods as Kate and her father entered the ceremony to bagpipe music. It was a ceremony filled with tradition and love from the entire audience as these two said "I do" under a rustic arch and the tall North Carolina pines.

Kate and Seth had their first dance as husband and wife under market lights and a beautiful white tent. Guests were treated to delicious tacos from a food truck and shrimp and grits, a Southern favorite. There was no shortage of dessert as guests enjoyed a delicious wedding cake on vintage plates and assorted donuts! Everyone enjoyed the coffee station, featuring a cold brew bike and the coffee that Seth and Kate enjoyed on their first date!

After an evening of dancing and toasts, Kate and Seth were whisked away through a sparkler exit with cheers from friends and family!

I have so much love for this couple and wish the absolute best for them as they combine their lives in California now as husband and wife!!! xoxo

Joyce and Meng's Elegant Separk Affair

The sweetest couple I have ever worked with! Joyce and Meng were simply meant to be, and their wedding day was a perfect reflection of them as a couple!! After working with them for a year and a half, their big day was such a huge celebration of the 10 years they have been together already!

Joyce's dress was so special - it was handmade by her aunt! After many fittings and decisions over fabrics and details, you can clearly see it was the perfect dress for Joyce! Her beautiful ladies donned blush pink gowns, Joyce's favorite color, and carried bouquets of blush, white, and green. Meng is quite the hunter, so the groomsmen shirts were the palest pink camouflage to reflect his love of the sport. Even the boutonnieres featured shell casings, softened by the sweet florals.

The outdoor ceremony was lovely, complete with 3 tiny ringbearers carrying giant white balloons that ready "the hunt is over" and "here comes Joyce!" The couple wrote their own vows and completed a unity lock ceremony. The music during the ceremony was meticulously selected by Joyce, a music teacher herself, and featured live musicians on guitar, harp, and cello.

During cocktail hour guests 'signed' the guest book, a canvas Joyce had made to symbolize a hot air balloon - a nod to Meng's proposal in a hot air balloon over a year earlier. Guests inked their thumbprints to symbolize balloons.

The reception was a total celebration featuring a bridesmaid vs. groomsmen dance off, bouquet toss, and loving toasts given by their parents and best friends. Guests were treated to a variety of delicious food stations to choose from and mocktails throughout the evening! Joyce is a lover of all things Disney, so dinner music featured some of her favorite movie tunes!

After dancing and celebration, this amazing couple departed to cheers and sparklers in front of the mansion, wrapping up a fairytale evening!!!

Best wishes to the happy couple!!! xoxo

Mary and Josh's Romantic Estate Wedding

The Marsh Wedding-0028.jpg

These two are one of the most loving couples I've ever met! When this NC born gal met this Texas boy, the search was over! Mary and Josh chose the beautiful Brawley Estate for their wedding celebration, a stunning backdrop for this Southern couple!

Mary was elegant in her all lace and beaded gown with gorgeous up-do. Flanked by her girls in their watercolor floral gowns, this entire group of ladies were truly sisters - some by family and some by longtime friendships. Victoria, Josh and Mary's daughter, was the sweetest flower girl ever! Josh and his guys were in bright navy suits with hints of blush pink to match the color scheme.

The ceremony was held in front of the historic house and cheers broke out as Mary and Josh became Mr. and Mrs.. Guests were treated to a Southern buffet dinner, dancing, and toasts from the Father of the Bride and best friends. One of the sweetest moments of the night was the Father/Daughter dance, where Mary and her father were joined by Josh and Victoria.

Josh and Mary have quite the sweet tooth and had special treat bags for guests as favors with all their favorite candy selections! After a night of celebration, these two departed to a gorgeous sparkler exit!!

I cannot wait to see their story unfold as husband and wife! All the best to Mr. and Mrs. Marsh!

Charlotte and Austin's Southern Estate Celebration

Oh this wonderful couple!!! So much love and joy between these two! From their first meeting in a bar to living in two different cities for the last few years, these two always found their way back to each other! When I first met them, I knew we were going to have a blast together!

Charlotte was STUNNING in her gown that she twirled in all day! (as it should be!) Her bridesmaids wore a beautiful gray blue hue of varying styles and sparkly details. The gentlemen of course were in tuxes, quite fitting for the occasion at this sprawling Southern estate.

The ceremony began with a threat of storms and ended with a downpour that will go down in history! But you will see from the gorgeous photos below that this couple smiled and laughed all the way through it! Guests were treated to a station-style menu and cocktails to enjoy. The toasts were a highlight of the evening, with so many funny stories from the the bride's father and sister-in-law. These guys danced all night long too to a live band! Charlotte and Austin even brewed their own beer (3 varieties) for guest to take home as a favor at the end of the night!! Guests cheered as the new Mr. and Mrs. departed through sparklers!!

All the best to the new Mr. and Mrs. McCarley!!! What an honor for me to take part! xo

Kim and Brian's Spring Celebration

These two had the most beautiful April wedding at Langtree Plantation! From the moment we first met, Kim and Brian were simply a delight to work with! These two busy corporate execs and I worked together for a full year to get all their wedding details just right!

Kim was stunning in her all lace gown with champagne belt. She was a classic and timeless bride, joined by her sister and best friend as bridesmaids. The bridesmaids wore navy, complimented by the light gray suits and navy ties worn by the groomsmen. The flowers featured brightly colored corals and greens, a perfect Spring color palette. Kim and Brian's sweet goldendoodle, Brady, even made an appearance as a special bridal party member!

The ceremony was held in the rustic Langtree barn, followed by the reception in the pavillion. Guests were treated to a Southern-style menu featuring Carolina BBQ and sweet cornbread. Kim and Brian chose a non-traditional bundt cake surrounded by tiny bundts in assorted flavors as their wedding cake for guests to enjoy. They were a huge hit!

The celebration continued into the night with lots of dancing and yard games for guests to play. Kim and Brian were beaming as they departed to the cheers of their family and friends!

Cheers to the happy couple!!! I cannot wait to see their story unfold as husband and wife!

Casey and Branden's Intimate Fall Wedding

Ohhh these two!! Casey and Branden were such a sweet couple to work with!! Their wedding day in October was simply perfection - a small intimate affair complete with outdoor ceremony, rustic romantic vibes, and a dance party for the books!

Casey was stunning in her all lace gown with an illusion back. The bridesmaids wore varying shades of purple complimented by the guys in their navy suits. The florals were lush and green with giant deep red dahlias and a variety of garden roses.

Guests were treated to an intimate ceremony under the trees complete with personal vows and a special hand ceremony. The celebration was kicked off as soon as the couple was announced as Mr. and Mrs. with a champagne toast by the guests! Dinner was served on beautiful farm tables under cafe lights. Candles in vintage candlesticks set the tone as Casey and Branden had their first dance as husband and wife. After the cutting of the cake, guests were delighted by all types of tasty dessert bars and bread puddings (my favorite part!). After a sentimental toast by the best man and maid of honor, the dance floor opened and the party began! A sparkler exit in front of the gorgeous Vesuvius house was the ending to this incredible day!

All the best these beautiful Bechtels!!! xoxo
